Saturday was another sleep in day and then we took care of things around the house- fertilizing, sprinkler system shutdown (in preparation for our SNOW this week!!!), etc. That night we went to Salt in Boulder to have a belated birthday dinner for Brian. You know, just several weeks after his actual day! Salt is owned by Bradford Heap who also owns another restaurant we have enjoyed, Colterra in Niwot. The atmosphere at Salt is great. Probably then neatest part was the mixology menu. Brian had a Rum, Pumpkin Spice, Sour and I had a Vodka, Blood Orange, Cocktail. His was great, mine not so much. I wish we would have ordered the small size vs the large so we could have tried 4 different things instead of just 2. Oh well, live and learn and there's always next time. Brian had lamb and proclaimed that although it was good it was not better than "the best lamb he's ever had," which is at Jill's at the St. Julien.
Sunday brings Brian leaving for the week, returning home next Saturday. I had lunch at Panera, overlooking the mountains on a beautiful, sunny afternoon. Trying to soak in what's left of this great weather and I fear today might be the last of it. I had to make stops at the office supply store, Target, return a shirt at Anthropologie, and got sucked into Sephora and buying some fun nail polishes. 2 fun "holiday themed" ones- Chestnuts About You and Keep Me on My Mistletoes and another called Queen of Everything. What a fun job that would be, to come up with all the funny nail polish names!

The colors don't really give a good representation in the Chestnuts (2) and Queen (3), but one is a gold and one is a silver. And I now have silvery nails. Having nails to paint is so much fun I have decided!
Tonight it's sloppy joes for dinner with the roommates, more likely than not some work, and hopefully early to bed. I have a full day tomorrow with work, pilates, and dinner with girlfriends in Denver - which I am really looking forward to. I'm bringing the taco soup and they're bringing the wine. What could be better than that?
